Scheer & Co. is a high-end residential and commercial boutique interior design firm based in Austin, TX with projects nationwide.
A fourteen-year industry veteran, Killy Scheer founded Scheer & Co. in 2013 with the belief that a home should feel both elegant and familiar – perhaps with a dash of playfulness. The boutique interior design firm takes an intellectual, researched-based approach to design, collaborating with clients to curate spaces that reflect their personal narratives, spirit and aesthetic.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan, Killy later earned a Master of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She refined her skills under the tutelage of such tastemakers as Jonathan Adler and Fawn Galli as well as at architecture firms including The Phillips Group and Studio CMP. A 2011 relocation led her to Cravotta Interiors in Austin prior to launching Scheer & Co. From full renovations to small sprucing projects, Scheer & Co. works with clients nationwide and in a variety of styles and budgets.
Scheer & Co’s work has been featured in Luxe Magazine, Tribeza, Austin Home Magazine, House Beautiful, HGTV, Design*Sponge, BuzzFeed, Scout, Apartment Therapy, Oprah Network, Elements of Style, One King’s Lane, CultureMap Austin, SF Gate, Austin Business Journal, Houzz and VETTA Home. Additionally, Killy has appeared as a guest on several podcasts and radio shows.
In addition to her interiors practice, Killy has been a contributing writer with several design publications, including Houzz.com and a lecturer in the interior design department at Texas State University. An architectural, design and decorative arts history enthusiast, Killy has participated on several committees with Preservation Austin and was a member of Inherit Austin’s board of directors for three years.
